For 22 years, Solomon Merkin has held numerous positions with Leib Merkin, Inc., a private investment company focused on investing in private and public companies. Previously, he was a credit analyst at IDB Holding Corporation Ltd., a diversified investment and financial holding corporation.

Mr. Merkin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Pace University. He has been an OSG Board member since 1989 and is a member of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee.
