Five of OSG’s double hull Panamax tankers trade in Panamax International, a leader in the Panamax trade.

  • Commercial tanker pools are groups of similar size and quality vessels with different shipowners that when combined as a single fleet, improve revenue generated through laden backhauls, contracts of affreightment (COA) and other operating efficiencies.   • OSG broadend the scope of its crude oil and petroleum products for global customers by adding a fleet of four interntional flag Aframax tankers and two U.S. Flag workboats in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico with the acquisition of Heidmar Lightering, Inc. This service will be expanded to include lightering using the Company's Panamax tankers on the U.S. West Coast. OSG is a leading provider of lightering services in the Delaware Bay, an operation established in the late 1950s.

  • OSG’s significant and growing position in the U.S. Flag shipping market affords it a unique competitive advantage. Today OSG is the only major tanker owner with significant U.S. Flag and International Flag fleets. With the delivery of 12 U.S. Flag Jones Act product tankers and six articulated tug barges, OSG will have the newest and largest fleet eligible for Jones Act trade.

  • In 2004, OSG entered the LNG transport business. Four state-of-the-art LNG carriers delivered in 2007 and 2008.
