Our corporate citizenship program extends to the communities where our employees work and live and where our
vessels trade. We support a variety of non-profit organizations and marine industry associations and have
responded to societal needs and humanitarian crises as they arise in our local communities.
Many of our shoreside employees and seafarers initiate socially responsible volunteer and fundraising
activities on their own accord at the local level with the full support of the Company. These activities
tend to support maritime industry concerns, green/environmental efforts, health concerns or local social
needs.
Awards
OSG’s environmental, safety and humanitarian efforts are continually recognized by various stakeholder
groups. The Chamber of Shipping of America awards nearly all OSG vessels with certificates of
environmental achievement for operating without a spill to sea for a two-year period or greater. The
Chamber also presents the Jones F. Devlin Safety Awards to vessels that operate for a full two years or more
without a loss time injury. OSG’s fleet is always well represented in both of these awards programs.
